A Grammatical Dictionary of Botanical Latin

nebularis,-e (adj.B): nebular, cloudy, misty, of or relating to a nebula; cloud-like; with a fine texture (as in filamentous or thread-like fungi);

- sylva (-ae (s.f.I) nebularis, abl. sg. sylva nebulari, cloud-forest.

Hypolepis stolonifera var. nebularis, in reference to the habitat of the variety, ‘which grows exclusively in areas constantly embraced by clouds.’

Clitocybe nebularis, the Clouded Funnel-shaped fungus, the Clouded Agaric, in rings in coniferous forests, the epithet meaning ‘mist’ or ‘the stuff of clouds,’ referring to the cloud-like, or cloudy-gray coloring of the cap.

A work in progress, presently with preliminary A through R, and S, and with S (in part) through Z essentially completed.
