Moenia,-ium (pl.n.III; singulars unknown),“the defensive walls of a town; an area enclosed by walls, a fortified town or city (Glare);

- in fossis juxta Pisana moenia ad Septemtrionem oritur (Mich.), it arises in the ditches beside the Pisan defensive walls at the north [sc. part].

- [Lichen crustaceus, saxatilis] in interioribus urbis moeniis, quae viridarium Вoboli cingunt (Mich.), on the inner defensive walls of the city, which surrounds the Viridarium [i.e. Garden] of Boboli [Florence].

- in fossis juxta Pisana moenia ad Septemtrionem oritur (Mich.), it arises in the ditches beside the Pisan defensive walls at the north [sc. part].

- in moeniis Romae Urbis, praesertim in interiori parte inter Portam S. Joannis, & S. Laurentii, reperitur etiam in externis Оstientibus moeniis ad Septemtrionem (Mich.), on the fortified walls of the City of Rome, chiefly in the interior part between the Gate of Saint John and Saint Lawrence, found also on the outer defensive walls of Ostiensis [Ostia] in the Northern part.

- Меnse Novembri, in Воboli, juxta urbis moenia (Mich.), in the month of November, in Boboli, beside the (fortified) wall of the city.

- Novembri mense, in Boboli pariter, per nemora juxta moenia (Mich.),in the November month, also in Boboli, throughout the groves beside the (fortfied) walls.

- Оctobri mense, in viridario Boboli in ambulacro juxta urbis moenia (Mich.), in the October month, in the Boboli Garden in the walk beside the (fortified) walls of the city.

- in Boboli per sуlvas secus Urbis moenia, inter lauros, sicut etiam per Scandicci alti nemora (Mich.), in Boboli [sc. Gardens] throughout the forests along the (fortified) walls of the City, among the laurels, just as also throughout the glades of lofty Scandicci {Scandicci comune (municipality), Florence, Tuscany, Italy].

- Extra portam Divi Міniatis inter muscos tempore praedicto, & in moeniorum urbis nostrae rimis, ante horrea in loco dicto l’Uccello etiam erumpit (Mich.), beyond the gate of Saint Miniatus among mosses in the time already mentioned, and in the cracks in the (fortified) walls of our city [i.e. Florence], before the granary in the place called ‘l’Uccello’ it also sprouts out.

- juxta Urbis nostrae moenia, inter Divi Fridiani, & S. Petri in Gattolino portam, a fodina lateritia non longe, mense Februario (Mich.), beside the (fortified) walls of out City, between [the temple or basilica] of Saint Fridianus and Saint Peter on the Gattoline Gate, not far from the brick-works, in the month of February.

NOTE: Saint Fridianus, bishop of Lucca [Lat. Luca]; the Basilica di San Frediano].

NOTE: Porta Romana = Porta San Pier Gattolino = Porta Romana].
