magnopere (adv.): greatly, strongly, extremely, very much; particularly, especially [= magno opere, that is, abl. of magnum opus: lit. with great labor,’ hence, to a great extent, greatly]; with adjs. = valde (adv.), q.v.; see extremely.

superl. maximopere (adv.): most strongly, most exceedingly, most especially, most particularly.

- magnopere dubitamus, we strongly doubt.

- genus magnopere confusum (B&H), a genus greatly confused.

- Ordo in Subordines 5, ínter se magnopere affines, facile divisus est, an order easily divided into 5 Suborders, that are very strongly related among themselves.

- Species omnes eximie variabiles, non ultra 70 nobis cognitae sunt (ad 110 auctoribus variis multiplicatae), sed ex his magnopere dubitamus quin ultra 15-20 sint vere distinctae (B&H), all of the species are exceptionally variable, not more than 70 are known to us] (multiplied to 110 by various authors), out of these we very much doubt that more than 15-20 may be actually distinct.

- calycis laciniarum proportio et styli dilatatio in toto genere magnopere variant(B&H), the relative proportion of the laciniae of the calyx and the expansion of the style is very variable in the entire genus.

non magnopere: not particularly, not very much, not especially;

- [algae] sporae Keramidiorum origine non magnopere diversa gaudent (Agardh), the spores of the Keramidia is provided with an origin not particularly different.

- algae maximopere lubricae ramosissimae filiformes coccineo- purpureae, ramulis initio subverticillatis denique frondem ut stratum densum cooperientibus (Agarde), the algae most strongly lubricious [i.e. smooth and slimy], very much branched, filiform, a deep red-purple, with branches at the beginning somewhat verticillate, ultimately covering over the frond as a dense layer.
