Linen, flax: linum,-i (s.n.II), abl. sg. lino.

NOTE: linea,-ae (s.f.I), abl. sg. linea: a thread of linen, a string, line; dim. lineola,-ae (s.f.I), abl. sg. lineola; cf. linum,-i (s.n.II), abl. sg. lino, the classical name of flax; linen; a cord, rope.
Linen, made of or resembling or flax, flaxen; “made of flax; resembling flax esp. in being of pale soft strawy color - used chiefly of the hair, as in flaxen curls; of or relating to flax” (WIII): linteus,-a,-um (adj.A); (of color, the color of tow or flax) stuppeus,-a,-um (adj.A; also stupeus,-a,-um (adj.A)); also lineus,-a,-um (ajd.A), from linum, made of flax or lint, flaxen, linen-; lintearius,-a,-um (adj.A): of or pertaining to linen; cf. byssinus,-a,-um (adj.A), the yellow of raw silk (Stearn 1983).
Linen, made of, flaxen: linteus,-a,-um (adj.A).
