A Grammatical Dictionary of Botanical Latin

 
lined: leptogrammus,-a,-um (adj.A), with fine or narrow markings; lineatus,-a,-um (adj.A), q.v., refers to lines irregardless of height or depth; striolatus,-a,-um (adj.A), with fine linear markings or ridges; “finely ridged” (Magill 1990); striatus,-a,-um (adj.A), with fine linear grooves; lineatus,-a,-um (part.A) refers to lines without height or depth.

black-lined: nigrolimitatus,-a,-um (adj.A); limitatus,-a,-um (adj.A): bounded, limited, bordered, enclosed within a limit.

lined, 'marked with sinuous intricate lines,'labyrinthine: labyrinthinus,-a,-um (adj.A), daedaleus,-a,-um (adj.A).

unlined, without lines: estriatus,-a,-um (adj.A), estriolatus,-a,-um (adj.A); exlineatus,-a,-um (part.A).
-lined, in rows or lines: in Gk. comp. see -stichos,-a,-on (adj.A), -stichus,-a,-um (adj.A); see row;

- hypostichus, lined beneath.
