libratus,-a,-um (part.A), level, horizontal; poised, balanced, swung, hurled, launched (Lewis & Short) [> L. libro,-avi,-atum, 1. (librare) to balance, make even, level, to determine a level; to make even or level (paviments); to hold in equilibrium, to poise, balance; to cause to hang or swing, to keep suspended, to keep in its place; to cause to swing, sway, brandish, set in motion, hurl, dash, cast, throw; to make of even weight, to balance, make equa; to weigh, ponder, consider (Lewis & Short); > libra,-ae (s.f.I), a scale, balance];

- aquam librare, to level water, i.e. to ascertain the fall of water by means of a level (Lewis & Short).

- pavimenta librare, to make pavements even or level.

Rubus libratus Bailey "Horizontal; from the sometimes lodged floricanes" (Fernald 1950).
