A Grammatical Dictionary of Botanical Latin

 
latrorsum (adv.), latrorsus (adv.): latrorse, latrorsely, directed towards or along the side, sidewise, facing or opening on the side; turned sideways from the axis of growth of the series of organs to which it belongs [NL. fr. latus, gen.sg. lateris (s.n.III), ‘side’ + versus (adv.) ‘towards];’ cf. extrorsum (adv.), introrsum (adv.); see direction; see laterally;

- semina granulis latrorsum aucta, the seeds enlarged on the sides by granules.

- thecis latrorsum gibbis, with the thecae swollen on the sides.

- folium latrorsum curvum, the leaf curved sidewise.

- anthera latrorsum dehiscenti , with the anther latrorsely dehiscent.
