A Grammatical Dictionary of Botanical Latin

 
later-, lateri-; -lateralis,-e (adj.B): in L. comp. -sided, at the side, lateral; see latus, gen.sg. lateris (s.n.III), abl. sg. latere, ‘side;’ see -sided; cf. pleur-, pleuri-, pleuro-; -pleurus,-a-um (adj.A): in Gk. comp., lateral;

- bilateralis,-e (adj.B), on both sides; bilateral having two sides, two-sided; “arranged on opposite sides”.

- laterifolius, on the side of a leaf.

- aequilateralis,-e (adj.B), with equal sides; inaequilateralis, not of equal sides; multilateralis, with many sides; unilateralis, one-sided.

Aster lateriflorus; Carduus laterifolius; Bromus lateripronus; Cephalantheropsis lateriscapa; Epidendrum laterinocturnum.
