A Grammatical Dictionary of Botanical Latin

 
lanarius,-a,-um(adj.A): “of or belonging to wool, wool- [> lana,-ae (s.f.I), q.v., wool];

- herba lanaria: fuller’s-weed, soapwort (Lewis & Short).

- domus lanaria, a wool-house, wool-store (Howlett)

Lanarius,-ii (s.m.II), abl.sg. lanario: a worker in wool; also lanator,-oris (s.m.III), abl.sg. lanatore.

- lanarius coactiliarius, a maker of fulled stuffs, a fuller [coactilarius,-a,-um (adj.A), made thick, fulled].

- lanarius pectinarius, a wool-carder.

Lanarius,-ii (s.m.II), abl.sg. lanario: wool-merchant, woolmonger (Howlett); also Lanator,-oris (s.m.III), abl.sg. lanatore.

Lanaria,-ae (s.f.I): a wool-factory, wool-spinning establishment (Lewis & Short); (Med.Latin Brit.) a wool-house (Howlett);

- Samuel Brewer, Trobrigii in Wiltonia lanariam olim artem exercens (Dill.), Samuel Brewer of Trowbridge [Wiltshire, England] once engaged in the wool business in Wilton [a carpet-weaving town].

Trowbridge, a major textile town (wool and broadcloth).
