A Grammatical Dictionary of Botanical Latin

lacrimiformis,-e (adj.B), lacrymiformis,-e (adj.B), lacrimoideus,-a,-um (adj.A): “tear-shaped; the same as pear-shaped, except that the sides of the inverted cone are not contracted; as the seed of the Apple” (Lindley); lacrimoid, teardrop-shaped; (of spores), obovoid, i.e. solid and more or less obovate in outline [> L. lacrima, tear + form]; see dacryoideus,-a,-um (adj.A); see teardrop-shaped.

NOTE: “sometimes but less correctly spelled lachrymaeformis,-e (adj.B)” (Jackson).
