iterum (adv.), iterumque (adv.): again, anew, a second time, once more, once again; repeated; cf. subinde (adv.) ‘repeatedly;’ see repeatedly; see again;

- iterum atque iterum; etiam atque etiam: again and again, over and over again, repeatedly; see repeatedly, frequently, often.

- semel atque iterum, once and again, once and a second time.

- semel aut iterum, only once or twice, i.e. not very often.

- bis consul, a man who has been consul twice (iterum consul, a man who is consul for the second time),

- pinnis iterumque eodem modo subdivisis, with the pinnae repeatedly in the same manner subdivided.

- surculi iterum pinnati, the shoots pinnate [repeatedly in the same manner, i.e. unbranched or simply pinnate].

- [lichen] color laminae aqua vel liquido qualicunque alio addito evanescit et desiccatione solum, iodo affuso, iterum adparet (Nyl.), color of the lamina disappears with water or any other liquid of any kind whatsoever, and only by desiccation, with the iodine sprinkled on, does it appear a second time.

- folium iterum vel subinde divisum, the leaf again or repeatedly divided.

- scapus [femineus] primum erectus elongatus, per anthesin spiraliter contractus submersus, post fecundationem iterum emersum fructum maturans(B&H), the female scape at first erect, elongate, throughout anthesis spirally contracted, partially exposed [partly submerged], after fertilization the maturing fruit once more emersed [partly emergent].

- [moss] si tamen cum ipsa gleba, quae eos protulit transportentur et solo idoneo umbra et humiditate fruenti committantur iterum vigere ramosque novos edere posunt (Brid.), yet if they might be removed with the very clod which produced them, and if united again with their proper soil and enjoying [their proper] shade and humidity, they are able to flourish again and give forth new branches.
