intra (adv.): within, on or to the inside, inwardly; opp. of extra (adv.): 'on the outside, externally;' cf. supra (adv. and prep. with acc.) 'on the upper side, above, beyond, over;' compar. interius (adv.), superl. intime (adv.);

- intra sacculum rostelli, within the saccule of the rostellum.

- [Hydrangea] capsula subrotunda foramine intra cornua dehiscens (Linn.), capsule nearly round, dehiscing by a hole within the horns.

- nuces animalibus intra occultae, nuts by animals hidden inside.

- caules rigidi intra stratis cellularibus 2-3 praediti, stems rigid, inside provided with 2-3 cellular layers.

- corolla pentamera, lobis tubum aequantibus, extra intraque puberulis, corolla in five parts, with lobes equalling the tube, within and without puberulous.

(B&H), the stamens fused into 5 bundles [i.e. groups], [the groups] all 2-[numerous]-anthered or (in trigynous species) 2 1-anthered, and 3 2-4-anthered, sometimes 5 free [i.e. unfused] stamens are added within the phalanges [i.e. groups].
