h.: (abbrev.) hortus,-i (s.m.II), q.v., ‘garden;’ see hort.;

NOTE: hb., herb. = herbarium.; see hb.

- (v. v. in h. par. sub dio) (DeCandolle), [v.v.= vidi vivam, “I have (seen) it in the living state;” in the [botanical] garden [h.[=horto] par. [Parisii, Paris (France)]. in the botanical garden of Paris in the open air [i.e. not in a greenhouse].

- Hepatica angulosa in h. pharm. Par. culta (DeCandolle), cultivated at one time in the pharmacological [pharmaceuticus] garden [hortus] [i.e. physic garden] of Paris.

 

A work in progress, presently with preliminary A through R, and S, and with S (in part) through Z essentially completed.
