A Grammatical Dictionary of Botanical Latin

 
granuliferus,-a,-um (adj.A), granulifer,-fera,-ferum (adj.A): bearing grains, having a loose, dry particulate texture; bearing granules of epidermal excretions;

- [Rumex] perianthii segmenta interiora 2 v. omnia 3 basi extus saepe granulifera (B&H), the inner segments of the perianth two or all three at the base on the outside often granuliferous.

- [Rumex] perianthii fructiferi segmenta interiora saepe valde aucta venoso-scariosa, semper integerrima et nunquam granulifera 9B&H)

NOTE: a grain and a nut (grain) or nutlet are similar;

- [Rumex acetosella] segmentis interioribus nuci subglobosae arcte appressis (B&H), with the inner segments closely appressed to a subglobose nut.
