graniticus,-a,-um (adj.A): of or relating to the rock ‘granite;’ q.v.; “growing on or in crevices of granite or other hard quartz rocks” (Stearn 1996); see granite;

- ad saxa granitica frequens, frequent on granitic stones.

- ad rupes graniticas erraticas ubique, everywhere on erratic granitic rocks.

- in collibus graniticis tractus Futters Range et in montibus Mayday-Hills (F. Mueller), in the granitic uplands of the region of the Futters Range and in the mountains of the Mayday Hills.

- e vallibus graniticis fluviorum Snowy-River et Mitta Mitta (F. Mueller), from the granitic valleys of the streams of the Snowy River and Mitta Mitta.

Mueller), on the granitic-sandy banks of the Lachlan streams. - [lichen] supra terram et saxa granitica in terris arcticis praesertim vigent species tres huc pertinentes. Una quoque simul ad truncos vetustos (Nyl.), the three species belonging here [i.e. to this genus] particularly grow over earth and granitic stones in arctic regions. One [species] also likewise on old trunks.

- [mosses] in rupibus et saxis calcareis, arenaceis et graniticis per regionem montanam totius Europae et in America septentrionali (C. Muell.), on rocks and stones calcareous, sandy [i.e. sandstone] and granitic throughout the montane region of all Europe and in north America.

- in rupibus calcareis graniticis et arenaceis per reg. montos. Germaniae, Galliae, Italiae etc., on calcareous granitic and sandy rocks throughout the mountainous regions of Germany, France, Italy etc.
