A Grammatical Dictionary of Botanical Latin

 
-glochin,-is (s.f.III): in Gk. comp., a noun functioning as an adjective in an epithet is declined like the noun it is without reference to the gender of the generic name with which it is associated [> Gk. glochin, gen. glochinos, (s.f.III), any projecting point, the point of an arrow.]

Gen.    -glochinis      -glochinum 
Dat.    -glochini       -glochinibus 
Acc.    -glochinem      -glochines 
Abl.    -glochine       -glochinibus 
microglochin, with small point or points.

Triglochin,-is (s.f.III) “Name composed of the Greek treis, three, and glochis, point, from the three points of the ripe fruit [in T. palustris] when dehiscent” (Fernald 1950).
