- [moss] columella pro more emergens capitata (C. Muell.), the columella as is customary [i.e. usually], emerging [i.e. partially exposed], capitate.

- [moss] theca emergens ovato - elliptica s. elongato-pyriformis (C. Muell.), the theca emergent [i.e. somewhat projecting above the perichaetial leaves], ovate-elliptic or [s.=seu] elongate-pyriform.

- columella persistente emergente elevato (C. Muell.), with the columella persisting, somewhat projecting [i.e. above the theca mouth], elevated.

- [Grimmia; moss] pedunculus emergens curvulus, the peduncle [i.e. seta] emergent (i.e. partially elevated above the tips of the perichaetial leaves) somewhat curved.

- [moss] nervo crasso tereti, ex apice tantillum emergente lutescente (C. Muell.), with a thick, cylindric [i.e. round and elongate), from the apex a little bit emergent [i.e. partially exserted], yellowish.

- [moss] folia perichaetialia ovato-acuminata integerrima, nervo continuo, in externis paullum emergento (C. Muell.), the perichaetial leaves ovate-acuminate, completely entire, with the nerve [i.e. costa] continuous, somewhat emerging [i.e. excurrent] in the outer [i.e. perichaetial leaves].

- conidiophora per cuticulam erumpentia, raro per stomata emergentia, conidiophores erumpent through the cuticle, rarely through the stomata emerging [i.e. coming forth].

- (moss) columella longe emergente (Austin) with the columella long emergent [i.e. nearly exserted, i.e. from the mouth of the capsule].

- [fungi] sphaerulis minutis exacte globosis laevissimis demum emergentibus (S&A), with the sphaerules minute, strictly globose, very smooth, eventually emergent [i.e. partially exposed].

- [fungi] superficie etiamnum sterili, sed sphaerularum paullo post emergentium primordia jamjam annunciante (S&A), with the surface at this time sterile, but already announcing the primordia of the emerging sphaerules.

A work in progress, presently with preliminary A through R, and S, and with S (in part) through Z essentially completed.
