disruptus,-a,-um (part.A): broken apart, broken off, broken up [> L. disrumpo, -rupi,-ruptum 3., to break or dash to pieces; to burst asunder, break];

- cortice superiore aetate disrupto, with the upper cortex with age broken off.

- carpella 1 - 3, ovulis geminis erectis, maturitate indehiscentia v. irregulariter disrupta (B&H), carpels 1-3, with the ovules twinned, erect, in maturity indehiscent or irregularly broken off.

- Linum, in Reichb. Handb. ex ejusd. Ic. Fl. Germ. vi. 67, in genera 5 disrupta fuit; scil. CATHARTOLINUM, LINUM, ADENOLINUM, LINOPSIS, et XANTHOLINUM (B&H), Linum, in Reichenbach Handb. ex ejusd. Ic. Fl. Germ. vi. 67, was broken up into 5 genera, namely; CATHARTOLINUM, LINUM, ADENOLINUM, LINOPSIS, et XANTHOLINUM.

- legumen plano-compressum, lanceolatum, per medias valvas in pseudovalvas 2 naviculares disruptum (B&H), the legume flat-compressed, lanceolate, broken apart through the middle valve into two boat-shaped pseudovalves.

- [algae] fila decumbentia, tenuissima, (ita ut sudo oculo singula non conspicua sint) fragillima, ideoque in parvula frustula variae longitudinis disrupta, (Agardh), the filaments decumbent [i.e. prostrate with the tip raised], very thin (such that with the naked eye they [individually] might be not conspicuous) extremely fragile, such that they are broken apart into small frustules of different lengths.

- extremitatibus obtusis, velut tuberculosis, tuberculis partim integris, partim disruptis & foraminosis, crispis & farinosis (Dill.), with the extremities obtuse, as though tuberculose, with the tubercles partly entire, partly broken up and full of holes, crisped and farinose.
