crass-, crassi-: in L. comp. thick-, q.v.; in Gk. comp. see pachy-; see thick-;‘ also ‘fleshy’ or ‘dense;’

- crassicaulis,-e, with thick stem; crassifolius, with thick or fleshy leaves; crassiceps, gen. sg. crassicipitis, with thick heads; crassicollus, with a thick neck; crassicostatus, with thickened ribs (costae); crassicylindricus, with a thickly cylindric growth-form; crassiflorus, with thick, dense or fleshy flowers; crassiglandulosus, with thick glandules; crassinervis,-e, also crassinervius, with a thick of fleshy nerve (costa); crassipappus, with thick or dense pappus; crassipes, gen.sg. -pedis, with a thick foot (stalk); crassirameus, with thick branches; crassirhizus, with a thick root; crassisepalus, with thick sepals; crassisetus, with thick setae (bristles); crassispinus, with thick spines; crassivenius, having thick veins.
