A Grammatical Dictionary of Botanical Latin

byssisedus,-a,-um (adj.A): (in mycology) byssisede, “on a cotton-like subiculum” (Ainsworth & Bisby; S&D); “seated on a cottony subicle” (S&D); seated on cotton;

- [fungi] cupula in aliis paene laevis, vix ac ne vix quidem byssiseda (S&A), the cupula in others almost smooth, scarcely and also not even scarcely byssisede [i.e. seated on a cottony subiculum].

- [fungi] Peziza minuta sparsa sessilis subbyssiseda subglobosa ex albo sensim fusco-nigra, ore connivente crenato (S&A), a minute Peziza, sparse, sessile, somewhat byssisede [i.e. seated on a cottony subiculum], somewhat globose, gradually from white [to] brownish-black-shining black, with the mouth crenate, connivent [i.e. converging but not touching].

A work in progress, presently with preliminary A through R, and S, and with S (in part) through Z essentially completed.
