Brick, tile (Eng.nouns): later,-eris (s.m.III), abl. sg. latere, ‘brick, tile;’ laterculus,-i (s.m.II), abl. sg. laterculo (a small brick, tile); tegula,-ae (s.f.I), q.v., abl. sg. tegula, the tile (of a roof); tessella,-ae dim. of tessera, a small square piece of stone, a little cube used for various purposes;(of pavement) tessera,-ae (s.f.I), q.v., abl. sg. tessera, a square, square piece of stone; tesserula,-ae (s.f.I), abl. sg. tesserula: a little tessera, a small square piece of stone for paving or other uses such as tokens in games, dice; ; testa,-ae (s.f.I), q.v., a piece of burned clay, a brick, tile;

- ducere lateres, to make bricks.

NOTE: Greek: plinthos (s.f.II; note feminine gender) a brick; plinthobius,-a,-um (adj.A), q.v., living on bricks or tiles, such as pavements.
Brick or tile, small: laterculus,-i (s.m.II), abl.sg. laterculo [dim. of L. later,-eris (s.m.III), a brick, tile].
