- folia 3-foliolata in Illìgera, bipinnatifida in perpaucis speciebus Onagrariearum (B&H), the leaves 3-foliolate in Illigera, bipinnatifid in a very few species of Onagrariaceae.

- folia alterna, integra v. dentata, rarissime bipinnatifida v. trífida (B&H), leaves alternate, entire or dentate, very rarely twice pinnatifid or tri-fid.

- folia ampla, parallele pennivenia v. bipinnatifida (B&H), leaves large, parallel-pinnately veined or twice pinnatifid.

- folia pectinato-bipinnatifida, leaves comblike-twice pinnatifid.

NOTE: a leaf that is pinnate is a compound leaf; pinnatifid means the leaf is only divided, usually within the outer third of the structure or organ.

A work in progress, presently with preliminary A through R, and S, and with S (in part) through Z essentially completed.
