A Grammatical Dictionary of Botanical Latin

 
barrel-shaped, cask-shaped, a vessel longer than broad, bulging toward the middle, tapering toward the ends, with broad flat ends of equal diameter: cupiformis,-e (adj.B) [dim. cupelliformis,-e (adj.B)]; doliiformis,-e (adj.B), q.v. [dim. dolioliiformis,-e (adj.B)]; orciformis,-e (adj.B) [dim. orculiformis,-e (adj.A)]; cf. fusiform;

- cellulae cylindraceae vel debillime doliiformes, cells cylindrical or very weakly doliiform.

- cellulae chlorophylliferae sectione transversali fusiformes vel orciformes, chlorophyll-bearing cells in transverse section fusiform or barrel-shaped.

 

A work in progress, presently with preliminary A through R, and S, and with S (in part) through Z essentially completed.
