accretus,-a,-um (part.A): grown, increased; grown or joined together; unite, combine; to adhere, to become attached to; “fastened to another body, and growing with it’ (Lindley) [> L. accresco,-crevi,-cretum, 3. (ad + cresco) to grow, to increase, to become larger by growth, 3]; see enlarged;

- genus numero specierum valde accretum a Torrey et Gray, the genus strongly increased in the number of species by Torrey and Gray.

- fungus propagationes accretas efficiens, fungus producing massed outgrowths.

- semen loculo conforme, testa endocarpio accreta (B&H), seed conforming to the locule, the test united with the endocarp.

- semina placentis accretis pulposis involuta. (B&H), seeds enveloped by the placentae enlarged pulpy.

- discus annularis, ovario accretus v. fere obliteratus(B&H), disc ring-shaped, grown together with the ovary or almost obliterated.

- lobis patentibus 3-angulari-ovatis accretis (B&H), with the lobes spreading, triangular-ovate, grown together.

- [Aptandra] Drupa subglobosa, ultra medium calyce accreto inclusa, "sarcocarpio tenui, mesocarpio sublignoso, endocarpio tenui carnosulo albo" (fide R. Spruce) (B&H), drupe almost globose, enclosed beyond the middle by the united calyx.
