Venenum,-i (s.n.II), abl. sg. veneno: poison [> L. venenum,-i (s.n.II) “originally like Gk. pharmakon, anything, esp. any liquid substance, that powerfully affects of changes the conditioin of the body: a potion, juice, drug; a potion that destroys life, poison, venom; a magical potion, charm; (in a good sense) a coloring material, a color, dye, paint)” (Lewis & Short)] ; see poison;

- venenum insanabile (adj.B), abl. sg. veneno insanabili, a hopeless or incurable poison.

- venenum in potione colliquefactum, a poison dissolved in a potion.

-[Argemone = Wind rose (Papaver argemone L.)] Argemone herba est pluribus nota cuius vires faciunt contra venena ad diversas compositiones ([pseudo] Galen in Everett), argemone is a plant recognized by many, the virtues/properties of which are effective in different compounds [i.e. compound medicines] against poisons.
