Vapor, steam: vapor,-oris (s.m.III), abl. sg. vapore; also an exhalation, steaming, implying warmth and heat, i.e. steam; syn. exhalatio; caligo,-inis (s.f.III), abl. sg. caligine: a thick atmosphere, a mist, vapor, fog; vaporatio,-onis (s.f.III), abl. sg. vaporatione; nebula,-ae (s.f.I), abl. sg. nebula 'exhalation, fog, mist, smoke, cloud;' see cloud, fume, gas, smoke;

(pharm.) steam, vapour, a moist inhalation (Bennitt).

- (pharm.) Vapor olei pini sylvestris, inhalation of oil of Scotch fir (Bennitt).

- (pharm.) Vapor siccus, a dry inhalation (Bennitt).

- fit ut aqua in vaporem resoluta minus libere exhalare queat, sed tomento irretita bullas efficiat (Dill.), it happens that as the water is dissipated into a vapor, it is less freely able to evaporate, but it may develop bullas [i.e. globules, knobs] entangled in the tomentum.

Vaporarium,-i (s.n.II), abl.sg. vaporario: (pharm.) a vapor bath (Bennitt).
