Lisbon (Capital of Portugal): Ulyssipo (s.f.III), gen.sg. ulyssiponis, acc.sg. ulyssiponem, abl.sg. ulyssipono; also Olisipo,-onis (s.f.III), also Olissipo,-onis (s.f.III); also Ulisipo,-onis (s.f.III), originally a town of Lusitania (olisiponensis,-e (adj.B), also ulysiponensis, also olissiponensis,-e (adj.B), etc.;

[marine mollusc] Patella ulyssiponensis, the Rough Limpet, China limpet, a sea snail (family Patellidae); lit. the “Lisbon Limpet.” Lusitania,-ae (s.f.I), q.v., also Portugallia,-ae (s.f.I): Portugal (adj. lusitanicus (Stearn).

Portugallia,-ae (s.f.I): corruption of Portus Cale, = Oporto; Portugal (European nation).

Ulysipo,-onis (s.f.III): Lisbon (Capital of Portugal); adj. ulysiponensis,-e (adj.B);

- Ulyssipone. Superiorum permissu. ex praelo Antonii Craesbeeck; at Lisbon. With the permission [i.e. authorization] of the superiors, from the [printing] press of Antony Craesbeeck.
