Gallus,-i (s.m.II), abl.sg. gallo: a farmyard cock, dunghill cock; see chicken; see poultry; see rooster.

NOTE: Gallus,-i (s.m.II) referred also one who lived in Gaul, a Gaul; also a Gallacian. Gallus was also a Roman cognomen.

Gallinaceus,-i (s.m.II), abl.sg. gallinaceo: a cockerel or young male chicken.
