A Grammatical Dictionary of Botanical Latin

 
Crassitudo,-inis (s.f.III), abl. sg. crassitudine: thickness, density; syn. grossitudo,-inis (s.f.III), abl. sg. grossitudine; see density, thickness, width; see thickness;

- setæ equinæ crassitudine (Dill.), with the thickness of a horse-hair.

- longitudo in perfectioribus uncialis, latitudo et crassitudo semuncialis fere; length in the more perfect (ones) one inch, the latitude and thickness nearly one half inch.

- podetia altitudinis 12-14 centimetrorum, e singulis superpositis (vel quasi merithallis) altitudinis circa 10-12 millimetrorum, crassitudinis 1-2 millimetrorum constantia (Nyl.), the podetia of the altitude of 12-14 centimeters, composed of superimposed individuals (or as if internodes) around 10-12 mm in height, 1-2 mm. in thickness.

NOTE: crassit., q.v.: abbrev. for crassitudo,-inis (s.f.III).
