A Grammatical Dictionary of Botanical Latin

 
Aucuparia,-ae (s.f.I): = Sylva,-ae (s.f.I) aucuparia (adj.A): a forest for fowling, i.e. the capture or hunting of birds; see aucuparius,-a,-um (adj.A);

- In Ilicum sylvis saepe vidimus, speciatim in Aucuparia Domini Marchionis de Niccolinis, in loco dicto Scandicci alto (Mich.), we often see it in the in the forests of Ilex, especially in the Aucuparia of the Lord Marquis de Niccolinis, in the place called Scandicci alto.

 

A work in progress, presently with preliminary A through R, and S, and with S (in part) through Z essentially completed.
