- post anthesin [acc.sg.], after flowering (Stearn).

- calyx ante anthesin clausus, sub anthesi irregulariter fissus, calyx before anthesis shut, at anthesis irregularly divided.

- per anthesin, during flowering, through or throughout the flowering period; petalis per anthesin patentibus, with the petals spreading throughout anthesis.

- antherarum loculi per anthesin paralleli seu divergentes usque ad basin dehiscentes, apice plus minus coadunati, of the anthers the loculi (thecae) through anthesis parallel or divergent down to the base dehiscent at the tip more or less united (Stearn).

- antherarum loculi per anthesin paralleli seu divergentes usque ad basin dehiscentes, of the anthers the loculi (thecae) through anthesis parallel or divergent down to the base dehiscent (Stearn 1983).

- calyx clausus, per anthesin valvatim 3-partitus (B&H), calyx closed, throughout anthesis valvately 3-parted.

- corolla per anthesim verticali, with the corolla throughout anthesis vertical.

- anthesis peractione, sub finem anthesis, at end of flowering (Stearn).

- callus ad basin stigmatis (styli sic dictus lobus v. dens), haud constans videtur et imprimis ineunte anthesi observatur (B&H), the callus is at the base of the stigma (hence called a lobe or tooth of the style), seems hardly constant and expecially at the onset of anthesis is observed.

- utriusque Cartonematis petala sub anthesi calycis longitudinem excellunt, sed sepalis fructificatione auctis pétala conspicuo superantur (F.Muell.), the petals of each [species of] Cartonema at the time of anthesis, exceeds the length of the calyx, but the petals are conspicuously overtopped by the sepals enlarged in fructification [i.e. fruit-development].

Deflorescentia,-ae (s.f.I), abl. sg. deflorescentia: the period after flowering).

Efflorescentia,-ae (s.f.I), abl. sg. efflorescentia: the period of opening of the flower.
