News From MO: 2000 Library The Missouri Botanical Garden Library supports the research efforts of Garden staff, botany students, and visiting scientists from around the world through its excellent collections and services. The Library collections number more than 124,000 volumes of monographs and journals, including exceptional rare book collections dating to1474. In addition, the Library contains extensive non-book collections, including Garden records, professional and personal papers of Garden botanists, historic manuscripts, photographs, oral histories, and architectural drawings. The Library catalog is available online. Connie Wolf, Librarian, is responsible for the overall management of the Library. Linda Oestry, Research Librarian, selects books and journals, oversees the exchange program, and provides reference services. Patricia Carroll assists with acquisitions, reference, and circulation. Zoltan Tomory, Technical Services Librarian, is assisted by Julie Crawford. Doug Holland, the Garden Archivist, is assisted by Andy Colligan. Mary Stiffler is responsible for circulation, interlibrary loans, and patron assistance. Victoria McMichael oversees serials and assists patrons. More than 40 volunteers provide valuable assistance in almost every sector of the Library. Top | Table of Contents
