STUDY SITES - Southern Vietnam - KHANH HOA

Total Area: 5,257 sq.km
Population: 1,031,262
Provincial Capital: Nha Trang City
Districts: Van Ninh, Ninh Hoa, Dien Khanh, Khanh Vinh, Cam Ranh, Khanh Son, Truong Sa

Economic potentialities: marine resources.

PHYSICAL Khanh Hoa province lies in the center of Vietnam, 1,450 km from Hanoi and 450 km from Ho Chi Minh City.

ETHNIC DIVERSITY The population mainly constitutes Kinh people, as well as a small percentage of Ra Glai, Tay, Nung, Muong, and Cham.

CLIMATE The tropical monsoon climate is influenced by oceanic weather. The annual average temperature is 26.5°C.
