The bulb borders are spectacular this week. Daffodils and tulips are in full
bloom throughout the Garden.
Azaleas throughout the grounds are flowering, with displays becoming showier
by the day. The entire azalea collection will be at peak bloom for Easter
weekend and well beyond, weather permitting.
Kwanzan cherries (Prunus serrulata ‘Kwanzan’) are flowering in the
Japanese Garden.
Wildflowers are blooming in the English Woodland Garden.
The rich fragrance of Spanish broom fills the Shoenberg Temperate. Brilliant
magenta African daisies (Osteospermum hybrid ‘Wildside) cascade over
the rocks along the stairs. Rich blue and white cineraria daisies
(Pericallis hybrida ‘Jester Blue’) and the bright yellow spires of
wild mullein from Crete (Verbascum arcturus) decorate the tiled Moorish
Garden.
Enjoy the heady aroma of jasmine (Jasminum polyanthemum) in the Linnean
House. Dainty fairy primroses (Primula malacoides ‘Prima series’) and
cyclamen (Cyclamen persicum ‘Concerto Cordelia’) decorate the beds
beneath the camellias.
