VOLUNTEER AT THE
APGA 2009 CONFERENCE
June 23 – June 27, 2009

We are extremely proud that the Missouri Botanical Garden is hosting the American Public Gardens Association (APGA) Conference June 23 - June 27, 2009. The APGA is a professional association for public gardens in North America, supporting the public horticulture community in its mission to study, display, and conserve plants.

The Conference will be held at the Hyatt Regency St. Louis Riverfront Hotel (formerly the Adams Mark Hotel). More than 500 people representing botanical gardens around the country are expected to attend. The Missouri Botanical Garden will provide support staff and volunteers for the conference.

Many thanks to those who have already responded to our call for help! 

We are still offering the opportunity to experience the conference at the hotel in a variety of different roles. (Click Here to View Volunteer Position Descriptions).

Shifts are available for Wayfinders/Greeters, Volunteer Central and Hospitality Table Attendants at the hotel. The shifts are:

Tuesday, June 23 7 to 9 a.m. 4 to 6 p.m.	Wednesday, June 24   7 to 10 a.m.   10 a.m. to 1 p.m.   1 to 4 p.m.
Thursday, June 25 7 to 9:30 a.m. 9:30 a.m. to noon Noon to 3 p.m.	Friday, June 26   7 to 10 a.m.   10 a.m. to 1 p.m.   1 to 3:30 p.m.
Saturday, June 27 7 to 9:30 a.m. 9:30 a.m. to noon Noon to 3 p.m.

If you haven’t turned in your registration form, we invite you to participate as a volunteer for this conference. We want to make an especially good impression on the conference delegates who may be visiting St. Louis, the Garden, and Shaw Nature Reserve for the first time. As a Missouri Botanical Garden volunteer, you are just the right person to do this!
