Power of Plants Contest

Prize Information

All participants will be honored at a reception in May 2010 at the Missouri Botanical Garden. We will unveil the winning entries from each category and award prizes. Advanced registration for the reception is required; time and location information will be sent to all participants. Contest entries will be displayed at the Missouri Botanical Garden, as well as on our web site. In addition, winners will receive:

Grand Prize: $1,000 Cash Prize

For Group Entries (Total prize money will be divided evenly among each participant.):

1st Prize: $300 Cash Prize
2nd Prize: $200 Cash Prize
3rd Prize: $100 Cash Prize

For Individual Entries:

1st Prize: $300 Cash Prize
2nd Prize: $200 Cash Prize
3rd Prize: $100 Cash Prize

Honorable Mention Certificates will be awarded for both individual and group entries.

Prize Information:

Prizes will be awarded for elementary, middle, and high school students in group and individual categories.
All entries will be judged by a panel of experts using the same judging rubric. Entries must meet the minimum requirements to be considered for a prize.
The Missouri Botanical Garden reserves the right to eliminate a prize category, if there is not an entry with a minimum of 60 points on the judging rubric.
For group entries, the Missouri Botanical Garden will divide prize money as evenly as possible between group members.
The grand prize will be awarded to the highest scoring entry among all three age groups.
