Puzzle 5

A father and his brainy child sat down at a restaurant to eat. The waiter brought the coffee right away.

Dad said, "Heck, I don't want my coffee to get cold before I finish the meal. I'd like it to stay hot as long as possible. But I need to put cream in it."

The brainy child said, "So?"

Dad said, "Well. Should I put the cream in now or wait until later? Will it make a difference in how long the coffee stays hot?"

The brainy kid said:
