Illustration of Bryophytes, OTHER: Latin renderings of descriptions and diagnoses of
new taxa are done for taxonomic botanists on a professional basis. This is an
international service provided through the Annual index prepared for The Bryologist: 1983,
1986, 1987. Bibliographies were compiled each year of articles
pertaining to botany published in various journals for the Public lectures on the flora of the Niagara River
Gorge were delivered in 1986/1987 to the Niagara Frontier chapter of the
Adirondack Mountain Club, the Niagara Frontier Botanical Society, the Lewiston
Garden Club, the Tattler Club of Niagara Falls and a faculty seminar
delivered to biology students at Canisius College of Buffalo, New York. Work on the research and archival materials used in
conducting the vegetational survey of Goat Island at Niagara Falls was
featured in an educational audiovisual show produced by the New York State
Archives and Records Administration, 1988: "Let the Record Show:
Practical Uses for Historic Documents." BOTANICAL
SURVEYS: 1985: Survey of the Ferns of the 1985: Natural History Inventory of the Hilltop
Nature Sanctuary, 1985/86: Survey of the Vascular and Cryptogamic
flora of the Canadian-American Niagara River Gorge (in progress). This study
is coordinated with the rare plant inventories of the Natural Resource
