Dolomite pavements with stony
and thin soils support a
characteristic flora including Early Saxifrage (Saxifraga virginiensis),
the alien species Sheep Sorrel (Rumex acetosella) shown at the lower
left of the mat of thin soil, and the grass shown with the plume-like
head, Downy Brome-grass (Bromus
tectorum).
