.Reported as doubtfully persistent in the Niagara Frontier Region by Zander and Pierce (1979), a status which will probably change. In Ontario, this species has "gained in importance only recently ... It is now widely established and abundant along roadsides and in refuse dumps in the southwestern counties...," Dore and McNeill (1980).
