Alopecurus geniculatus L.  MARSH FOXTAIL

New York: Erie Co., Buckhorn Island State Park, SE sector S of East-West River Parkway beside I 90; open wet meadow with Hieracium piloselloides, Carex granularis, Puccinellia distans. Probably salty ground.  P. M. Eckel June 17, 2001.

Not reported for the Niagara Frontier Region by Zander & Pierce (1979). Mitchell (1986) reported this species as naturalized in New York State. This is a species naturalized from Europe occurring in both the eastern and western United States.
