Not reported by Zander and Pierce (1979) for the Niagara Frontier Region, and hence new to the flora. Mitchell (1986) reported this species as a rare escape in New York State.

Allium schoenoprasum L. (As var. sibiricum) Ontario: Niagara, W. J. Potter, 1908 (TRT 14313), Heimburger (1955).

Not reported for the Niagara Frontier flora by Zander and Pierce (1979). Reported as a rare introduced and native species in New York State by Mitchell (1986). This species is on the Rare Plant Status List of the New York Natural Heritage Program (Clemants, 1989).
