1934 (DAO), Heimburger (1955). "... has been found at Paradise Grove,
Niagara-on-the-Lake," Hamilton (1943).
In 2002 numbers of this species were observed
as elements in a highway "wildflower" mix planted along Interstate 90
by the North Grand Island toll barrier adjacent to the Buckhorn Island State
Park wilderness area. In the same year masses of this species were observed
along a highway in Canandaigua, New York, deriving from a highway
"wildflower" improvement implementation.
