This database is a modified subset of TROPICOS, the Missouri Botanical Garden's taxonomic database. Most of the data was derived and corrected from Al Gentry's database, and stored in dBase (.DBF) format.

In the column TYPE, C refers to a character string and N refers to a numeric string. LENGTH refers to the field length.
