Vestimentum,-i (s.n.II), abl.sg. vestimento: vestiture, clothing, covering; see coating;

- planta vestimento foliari tomentello vel aetate glabrescenti distinguenda, plant by the vestiture foliar tomentellous to with age glabrescent.

- [dicit] “Odorem cordi familiarem ac gratum esse: in petrosis Suditorum superciliis nasci: reponi ad vestimenta, ut iis odorem conciliet & a tineis præservet" (Dill.), he reports the odor to be familiar to the spirit [i.e. heart] and pleasing: to arise on the rocky ridges of the Sudetes Mts., to be stored on clothing, so that it might unite with them the odor and preserve them from worms [i.e. clothes' moths].

- (color) facile eluitur nec diu durat, sufficit tamen pauperoribus pro vestimentis inficiendis (Ray), the color is easily washed out nor does it last a long time, yet it is sufficient for poorer people for imparting [a color] to their clothing. scent.
