- vere, in spring (i.e. fruiting or flowering).

- primo vere, vere novo, at the beginning of spring.

- racemi compositi, penduli, velut folia pinnatisecta e gemma terminali squamosa primo vere erumpentia (B&H), racemes compound, pendulous, as if pinnatisect leaves bursting forth from terminal scaley buds at the beginning of spring.

- ver sudum (adj.A), a bright, clear, dry spring.
