Jacket, coat (Eng.nouns): -chiton,-onis (s.m.III), abl. sg. -chitone: in Gk. comp., covering, coat, tunic (same as tunic); chlaen-, in Gk. comp., mantle, covering; chlamys,-ydis (s.f.III), abl. sg. chlamyde, in Gk. comp. cloak, mantle, covering; laena,-ae (s.f.I), a cloak, mantle (= Gk. chlaena, q.v.); palla,-ae (s.f.I), a robe, mantle; palliolum,-i (s.n.II), abl. sg. palliolo, “a small Greek mantle or cloak; a covering for the head, a hood (Lewis & Short); pallium,-i (s.n.II), abl. sg. pallio, a covering, cover; a coverlet; a Greek cloak or mantle, the toga; an upper garment of any kind; peplum,-i (s.n.II), abl. sg. peplo; also peplus,-i (s.m.II), abl. sg. peplo, any broad upper garment; tunica,-ae (s.f.I), abl. sg. tunica; see tegumentum,-i (s.n.II), abl. sg. tegumento, a covering; see testa; see seed-coat; see tunic.
Jacket, little (Eng.noun): pallula,-ae (s.f.I): a little cloak or mantle.
