This list of over 3,500 references is aimed primarily to cover the various members of the Brassicaceae for literature on the systematics, taxonomy, phylogeny, evolution, and related fields. Only the most important literature on the model organisms in Arabidopsis and Brassica are included herein.

The literature on Arabidopsis thaliana and its relatives probably exceeds 40,000, and it is impractical to cover it in this reference list. The interested reader should consult The Arabidopsis Information Resource, TAIR, which carries a tremendous wealth of information on this species.

Similarly, the published works on Brassica and its relatives is quite voluminous, and the reader should consult the Bibliography of Agriculture for leads.

Finally, for the chromosome counts, cytology, and karyotypes of various taxa of the Brassicaceae, please consult the "Chromosome Literature" attached to the "Chromosome Numbers Checklist" of this Brassicaceae on this website.
