Japanese iris in Seiwa-En and the Goodman Iris Garden are at their peak
of bloom.
The large grove of fragrant Bottlebrush buckeyes (Aesculus parviflora) on
either side of the tram path just south of the Climatron® are at peak
bloom.
Roses in the Gladney and Lehmann Rose Gardens are at the peak of seasonal bloom.
Oakleaf hydrangeas (Hydrangea quercifolia) are in full bloom throughout
the grounds. Bigleaf hydrangeas (Hydrangea macrophylla) are flowering
in many locations on the grounds.
The scent of gardenias perfumes the air in the Shoenberg Temperate House.
Brilliant red coleus (Solenostemon scutellaroides 'Kingswood Torch')
and yellow daisies (Argyranthemum frutescens 'Maggie') brighten the
tiled Moorish Garden. The venus flytraps (Dionaea muscipula) are
beginning to bloom in the carnivorous plant bog.
The sweet aroma of jasmine (Trachelospermum jasminoides) wafts through
the Linnean House. Double impatiens (Impatiens walleriana 'Fiesta
Lavender Orchid') are featured in the hanging baskets.
