Azaleas and Flowering dogwoods are at peak bloom throughout the grounds.

The magnificent Giant dogwood (Cornus controversa) takes center
stage this week near the entrance to the Woodland Garden.
Dogwoods and azaleas in the Japanese Garden are very showy. Peonies are
just beginning to bloom.
Woodland wildflowers, azaleas and dogwoods are flowering in the English
Woodland Garden.
White and blue Spanish bluebells carpet the ground in the Mausoleum Garden.
Dwarf bearded iris are in full bloom in the Goodman Iris Garden. Standard
Tall bearded iris are beginning to bloom.
The tulip displays are past peak bloom, but some are still nice.
Spring is at its peak in the Shoenberg Temperate House. Look for the showy
blossoms of the carnivorous pitcher plants (Sarracenia species) in the bog.
The Australian Bottlebrush trees (Callistemon species) are in full bloom
upstairs, accompanied by many Mediterranean wildflowers including brilliant
red poppies (Papaver carmeli) from Israel. Spanish broom (Spartium
junceum) fills the house with its rich aroma.
Smell the heavenly aroma of jasmines (Jasminum polyanthemum and
Trachelospermum mandianum) in the Linnean House. Jasmine and chenile
(Acalypha pendula 'Firetails') are featured in the hanging baskets.
